Volunteering Experiences

Through this workshop, I learnt more about what the Early Childhood Development Education sector is all about. My passion grew stronger as I get to volunteer to get first-hand experience when we did activities with the children on the 3rd day of the workshop. 

This walk is targeted towards students and people who have Autism. The event is to raise funds and raise awareness for people with Autism. Schools like Pathlight participated the event. My team of EXCO and I represented our school to create and run a game booth to raise funds. The game had to be suitable for everyone including the special ones.

We created a game called "Lucky 8" where they have to push a puck to a certain character and collect points. It is simple and suitable for any age. 

I do some coaching for children and adults who share the same passion as me. I find joy in volunteering to share such skills and seeing them grow into competitive and passionate young athletes. Even when I am not coaching I will share my skills and knowledge to teach others. I do volunteer to teach children and adults.

I was one of the 5 chosen students to represent Singapore at the annual leadership camp. We went to Brunei to learn and exchange culture. I learnt many things about their culture and differences. With the new knowledge I gained there, I always share it with everyone and raise awareness about how we have to respect others despite their culture and tradition.  

Volunteered to commemorate people with disabilities. We learned sign language used by Singaporeans and apply it to the pledge.

We pledged using words and signing spontaneously.
